An editor that takes requests.

Type, pick or say a request. Zumi plans the edit, shows it on the timeline in red and gold, and waits for you. Nothing changes until you press Apply, and one Undo takes it all back.

How Zumi works

Plan, preview, apply. Undo in one step.

  1. 1

    Plan

Zumi reads what it knows about the take, every click, every word you said and the text on screen, and writes a plan: the cuts, zooms, captions and versions it would make.

  2. 2

    Preview

The plan shows on the timeline before anything changes: cuts in red, new zooms in gold. Hold to compare with the original.

  3. 3

    Apply

Press Apply (⌘↩) to keep it, or Cancel (Esc). Change the request and Zumi plans again.

  4. 4

    One Undo

The whole plan is one step in your history. One ⌘Z puts everything back, however many edits it made.

  • Runs on your Mac

Zumi plans with Apple's on-device model where it's available, and a built-in planner handles common requests on every Mac. Your recording isn't uploaded to plan an edit, and it works with Wi-Fi off.

    How the AI works
  • Ask with your voice

Click the mic and say what you want. Your words become a request, and the plan appears just as if you had typed it.

  • It knows the take

ZumCast records every click, key and word with the video, and reads the text on screen. That's why Zumi knows where “the Save button” is and which parts are pauses.

What you can ask

Say it the way you would to an editor.

A few examples from each kind of request. Mix them in one sentence: Zumi plans them together.

Free-form requests use Apple Intelligence on Macs that have it. The built-in planner handles common requests on every Mac.

Captions and translations

Captions in your words, and in other languages.

Captions come word by word from what you said, transcribed on your Mac. Pick one of 8 looks and 5 fonts, burn them in or export SRT and VTT, and add translated captions for other languages.

  • Word by word, highlighted as you say them.
  • Clear of app buttons on Shorts and Reels.
  • Translated captions as SRT and VTT files.

Illustrative caption styles. 8 looks and 5 fonts in the app.

Guides and interactive demos

Docs and demos, written for you.

ZumCast knows every click and every word, so the documentation writes itself from the recording.

Step-by-step guide

Every click becomes a numbered step with a screenshot and a line taken from what you said. Edit any step before you export.

  • PDF, Markdown or HTML
  • Screenshots at full resolution, click highlighted
  • Redaction burnt into every screenshot
  • Basic exports the first 3 steps; Pro, every step

Interactive demo

A clickable HTML walkthrough of the same take: viewers click the highlighted spot to move to the next step, at their own pace.

  • One hotspot per step, with its caption
  • Step counter and back button
  • HTML you can host or share
  • Included with Pro

Zumi for screenshots

Shots take requests too.

Switch the playground to Screenshot and ask: blur anything private, number the steps, make a 16:9 social image, tilt it in 3D or copy the text. Same plan, same preview, same Apply.

  • Same playground, still image. No timeline, just the shot and the plan.
  • Copy the text. Words on a shot become text you can paste.

3D angles

Make the zooms feel 3D.

Ask Zumi to “make the zooms feel 3D” and each zoom gets its own angle, leaning into the click so the eye lands on it, and varied between zooms so a long video never feels repetitive.

  • Settle, Hold or Float. Tilt on the way in, keep it, or drift slowly.
  • Vary between zooms so every zoom feels intentional.
