Captions, voice and audio
Transcripts, eight caption looks, translated captions, voice clean-up, music and AI voiceover.
Transcribe
In Captions, press Transcribe. ZumCast writes down what you said, word by word, on your Mac. The transcript powers captions, editing by text in the Story tab, search and the guide.
Caption looks
Pick one of eight styles: Pill, Outline, Karaoke, Box, Highlight, Gradient bar, Typewriter or Minimal. Choose a font (SF Pro, SF Rounded, New York, SF Mono or Avenir Next) and put captions at the top or bottom.
Captions are burnt into the video when you export. To give viewers captions they can turn off, export a caption file too.
Translated captions
Translate captions on your Mac into Spanish, French, German, Portuguese (Brazil), Italian, Dutch, Japanese, Korean, Chinese (Simplified), Hindi, Arabic, Russian, Turkish, Polish, Indonesian or Vietnamese. Export each language as SRT or VTT from the Export window.
Voice and music
- Voice clean-up removes hum and hiss and evens out the volume. It runs on your Mac and keeps your original.
- Volumes for your voice, system audio and music.
- Music: add a built-in track under your voice.
- Click and typing sounds: see Frame, wallpaper and cursor.
AI voiceover
Recorded without speaking, or want a cleaner read? AI voiceover reads your script with an on-device voice, and each line starts when you spoke it.
